Happy New Year!
The hustle and bustle of the holidays is over! And now that I had the chance to take a breather, I got to reflect on 2019 for Kimmy Bean and what’s in store for 2020.
There were some ups and downs throughout the year. Which happens when you’re growing a blog. In spite of that, there were some things that were worth doing the happy dance for!
Here’s a breakdown of the best of Kimmy Bean last year.
Brave Blue World
First, I was so excited to be a part of the documentary Brave Blue World that also featured Matt Damon. I didn’t get a chance to meet him but I thought it was exciting that he has the same passion for water conservation like I do.
Friday Confession Series
I love that the stories I’ve shared about the struggles of being a working mom juggling family and career have been relatable. It’s good to know I’m not the only one trying to keep it all together!
Here are the top three Friday Confession favorites for 2019:
#1 I Don’t Read School Newsletters
#2 I Don’t Pack My Kid’s Lunches
If you’ve got a confession to share, contact me and I’ll be happy to feature you here!

What’s In Store For 2020
My original game plan had a long list of things I want to do for Kimmy Bean. But I had to be realistic about my goals. Between my career and family, I knew I wouldn’t be able to meet half of what I had on my list.
So, I narrowed it down to a couple of my favorites…
A New Category
I know all working moms are busting their butts but when you add travel-for-work into the mix, things can get a little too crazy.
I’ll be writing more about leadership and the struggles of being a working mom in an executive role. And I will include some tips that have helped me make the best of things and how I get by.
A New Series
There will be a new series on Kimmy Bean interviewing working moms to share their stories about juggling work and family while sharing their tips on how to make it work.
I still haven’t decided on a name for the series so if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear it!
That’s A Wrap
Well mamas, that’s a wrap. I hope you will be coming along for the ride. Here’s to a fab, balanced 2020!
