Kimberly has addressed audiences large and small on topics critical and relevant to society today. She has a unique perspective that comes from being a working professional in the sustainability field and a working mother. Below are Kimberly’s two signature talks.
Lead, Laugh, Let it go: a working mother’s guide to practicing imperfection
Are the pressures to perform both in the conference room and at the soccer field sapping your energy? As professional working mothers, we can often feel alone; weighted down by expectations to show our most perfect selves. We are inundated with career advice, how to best parent our children and how to be a supportive partner.
Kimberly If you are looking for some camaraderie, practical ideas and a bit of comic relief, you won’t want to miss this talk.
During this talk, you will
- Learn a new way to think about leadership that reflects your true self
- Incorporate laughter as a way to relieve stress during those times when work and family priorities clash
- Be introduced to a safe way to let go of control and recognize when you’re pushing yourself out of purpose versus out of habit
Making Every Drop Count; Water and the Circular Economy
Addressing water scarcity challenges is critical to maintain a healthy and vibrant economy. Needless to say, the cost of water directly impacts the cost of business. The challenges faced by water-intense industries and sectors are many and diverse, but what remains consistent is their desire to maximize the efficient use of water, close the resource loop and protect their license to operate. In this presentation, Kimberly will address and provide examples of how advancing sustainable water management and a true circular economy:
- requires innovation in applying what we know;
- is possible today thanks to advancements made in membrane technology; companies can improve their water footprint in a more cost-effective and sustainable way through processes like Minimal Liquid Discharge (MLD);
- involves collaboration with entities beyond our direct value chain.
