As a working mom, I have plenty of stories about my fails trying to balance out my work life and mom life – like the time I took two purses during a night out with friends. I mean – who does that!
Let’s face it, the struggle is real. But instead of drowning our sorrows over a glass of wine (although there is nothing wrong with a glass of wine) – it’s better the laugh about it.
That’s why I created this series Working Mom Confessions. It’s a way for me to share the craziness in my life – ones that I’m sure other working moms like you can relate too. It’s my way of saying, “you’re not alone mama!”
New Working Moms Confession Stories
I’ve shared some of my personal confessions as well as confessions my friends have shared with me. And I’ve had the pleasure of featuring awesome bloggers like Julie Cookies of Fab Working Mom Life.
Now I’m calling on all working moms for a chance to share their own confessions with other moms.
Your confession will be featured on our Working Mom Confession blog post series. Not only will your story be shared but you’ll also get a chance to promote your blog and connect with other moms to grow your community.
Send an email with your confession to my assistant Cori at kimmybeanblog@gmail.com. In the subject line please put KimmyBean Working Mom Confession to be sure we get your post.
Here are a few guidelines for your blog post:
- Content must be 300 words or more
- Only two links are allowed
- No affiliate links
Also, please be sure to include a pic, bio blurb, link to your website and social media profiles. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

This is a great idea. It can get overwhelming and knowing you’re not alone is an awesome feeling.
Kim
Thank you Joline – you can say that again! I sure hope this series will help other moms. 🙂
Susan
This should be a great series! As working moms (whether working at home or outside it), there’s SO MUCH juggling that happens on the regular… it’s no wonder stuff slips through the cracks. Some of that slippage is bound to be epic enough to share!
Kim
I’m sure there are going to be some great stories! Mom life is nothing but a blooper reel, lol. 🙂
Neely Moldovan (@Neelykins)
Oh how fun! I have some blog friends that would love to do this!
Kim
Send them our way. We’d love to share their stories!
Stephanie
I love this idea! I work from home, but still have the mom guilt going on some days. I am going to bookmark this to come back when I have more time to think about what I can write, because I’m sure I could think of a few stories to share!
Kim
We’d love to feature your stories Stephanie! I can be I’ll relate to them, lol. 🙂
Kayla
This is a fantastic idea. I’m a SAHM and I go to school, but I’ve also been a working mom for brief moment. I hate how SAHM get a bad rap and I hate how wo king moms get a bad rap. This will be a great series.
Kim
Hi Kayla,
I agree with you about the rep SAHMs get…being a SAHM is working. 🙂 I hope you’ll share your confessions with us!
Kim
Elaine
This sounds like a great idea! I’ve heard and can assume that it gets tough to make other mom friends, so this would be a great way for other working moms to connect with one another and form a little tribe.
Kim
Thank you Elaine! Helping moms connect with each other is certainly the goal! A mom tribe would be awesome!

My kids are older now but, I was and remain a working mom. It is definitely a balancing act and can be both rewarding and challenging… Best wishes with the blog.
Kim
Hi Elizabeth,
I agree with you there – some days are more challenging than others. 🙂
Thank you so much!
Kim

I am not a mother but I am a working girl. So I can only imagine how life would be with children, difficult and stressful while working.
Kim
Thanks Helene, you are so right. 🙂
Kim
Krysten
What a great way to find others who are feeling the same way!
Kim
That’s our goal Krysten! I really moms will share their stories with us. I’m sure we can all relate to them in some way. 🙂
Kim
Angela Tolsma
I’ll have to pass this on to my mom friends, who I know have been struggling with where to write their feelings out! What a fantastic way for moms to connect.
Kim
Hi Angela,
Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m looking forward to hearing from them so we can connect!
Kim
Christa Anne
This is such a great idea! It’s so comforting reading that other women share my struggles. I’m really looking forward to this series!
Kim
Thanks Christa! We’re really excited about this series too! I hope you’ll consider sharing your confessions with us!

Becca Wilson
My confession is sometimes that I bring my phone in the bathroom so that I can answer emails without being interrupted. It’s literally the only time that I can chunk off to get to them sometimes.
Kim
Hi Becca,
Thanks for sharing your confession with us. I’m guilty of doing that too! Anything to get some work done. 🙂

This sounds a like a great idea! I’m an empty nester now, but I know my youngest daughter has had plenty of times when she was working out of the home and could have benefited from this kind of support.
Kim
Hi Dr. K
Please send your daughter my way. She would fit right in here because I’m all about supporting each other. I have mixed feelings about becoming an empty nester – it’s mostly joy though, 😉
