Are you the kind of person who cleans up before the cleaners come? Well I am guilty of cleaning up in the morning before my nanny comes.
Days are long with endless meetings, emails, managing team, collaborating with colleagues and generally keeping it all together.
So a little wine at the end of the day in my opinion is warranted. Right?
But then when I get up at 6 a.m. the next morning and see the dirty wine glasses, I will admit, I feel a bit ashamed – especially when it feels like every morning, that’s what I wake up to.
Confession 11: I Clean Up My Wine Glasses
So what do I do? I clean and put away those wine glasses. Trying to hide my real self. Silly I know but now it’s off my chest and if you find yourself trying to keep it together in ways that are not serving you – you are not alone!
Maybe you put the (fill in your favorite) bottle away before your mother-in-law or husband or wife comes home. Or maybe you are like me and get those wine and tumbler glasses cleaned up before the nanny comes in.
I will make a commitment here to you readers, If I happen to have a stray wine glass hanging around on a Tuesday morning, I may just leave it there so I can do that one more email or play with my daughter for five minutes – because isn’t that more important?

I used to be so worried about cleaning up before ANYONE came over and now I’ve gotten so comfortable with the “sorry, we have kids” shrug and move on lol. With 2 under 19 months I’m just too tired these days! But I will confess, I had my junk food before my husband comes home and eat it when the girls are napping!

Love your honesty and don’t feel bad at all. We all have our vices! I have been known to love a glass of wine here and there! 🙂

I’d so clean before the house cleaner arrived! It’s funny, or maybe sad, how we hide who we really are and what we really do! We don’t have to hide. I’m learning that too. I’m cheering for you, to leave a wine glass out! 😉

That’s funny. I clean before anyone cleaner comes over. Just enough to not look like a complete messy freak but not enough so the house doesn’t look too clean.

I always try to rush and clean before any company comes over. But I’m not ashamed of saying I need a glass of wine ever now and again
